Those were in use on desk as reading lam or just for decoration. Thinks were still manufactured by local factory with a lot of hand tooling as the different part clearly show .The metal globe is original .I bought it in France so it is guaranty to be an original French art deco piece of the art deco movement. The base and body is ebonized wood ,SizeH.26 globe 12 3/4 , good antique condition ,there is some scratches from normal use and some superficial oxidation ( darker spots) , small dent in the globe and part .
